Professional Ministry Supervision
with Rev Matt Bruns
What is Supervision?
Supervision is a chance to intentionally reflect on life and ministry in a safe, confidential space, reflecting on the past, present, and future.
Oasis offers Professional Ministry Supervision.
Professional
Supervisors are trained for the work and external to the supervisee’s employer or ministry context.
Ministry
Sessions make room for the work of God to be part of the conversation.
Supervision
We examine the pastor/minister’s work in a focused way.
“Each one will be like a shelter from the wind and a refuge from the storm, like streams of water in the desert and the shadow of a great rock in a thirsty land.” - Isaiah 32:2
I chose the name Oasis because effective supervision creates a place of refuge within the realities of ministry, not away from them. Drawing on Isaiah 32:2, which speaks of a leader as “a shelter from the wind and a refuge from the storm… streams of water in the desert, and the shadow of a great rock in a weary land”, Oasis reflects the kind of environment supervision is intended to provide.
