Why ‘Oasis’?
I chose the name Oasis because effective supervision creates a place of refuge within the realities of ministry, not away from them.
Drawing on Isaiah 32:2, which speaks of a leader as “a shelter from the wind and a refuge from the storm… streams of water in the desert, and the shadow of a great rock in a weary land,” Oasis reflects the kind of environment supervision is intended to provide.
It is a structured, confidential, and attentive space where ministry leaders are supported to reflect honestly on their practice, attend to their formation, and engage accountability with wisdom and care.
Within this held space, wellbeing is safeguarded, discernment is deepened, and leadership is strengthened — not through pressure or performance, but through clarity, prayerful reflection, and faithful accompaniment.
